Oil & Energy - Houston, Texas, United States
Tejas Tubular Products, parent company of Premier Drill Pipe, started manufacturing Oilfield Drill Pipe, Tubing & Casing (API License 5DP & Spec 7-1) in January of 1990. In response to growing demand for higher quality Horizontal Directional Drill pipe, Tejas Tubular created Premier Drill Pipe in 1998 to service the HDD industry with the same level of attention and quality demanded by API Oilfield customers. Premier Drill Pipe uses forged end upset tube bodies for friction welding tool joints. This process is the same Tejas Tubular uses for Oilfield Drill Pipe, which must endure tremendous stress as it is sent 22,000' below the surface. The friction welding process is an API standard; the result of using such a high build standard is over 550,000 of our HDD rods in the market without a single weld failure. Premier Drill Pipe's position as a subsidiary of an API Oil Country Tubular Goods manufacturer has benefits of providing access to world class engineers, experienced staff, and decades of manufacturing experience, but; it brings other huge benefits as well. We can build value into each of our products through our ability to purchase steel in bulk directly from the mill, forge our own upsets, heat treat our own green tube, machine our own products, friction weld our own tool joints, and monitor the inspection process from raw material to finished product. Premier Drill Pipe's ability to control the process from beginning to end is what makes our prices competitive, and our value unmatched.Premier Drill Pipe has a full line of drill pipe which is compatible with every major HDD rig manufacturer. And, in the last two and a half decades, Tejas Tubular and Premier Drill Pipe has experienced growth in 23 of 25 years. That growth is directly tied to our unwavering dedication to quality, and our industry leading customer service. We believe in standing behind our products, offering the best value, and treating our customers as part of the Tejas family.
