Our work integrates aesthetic, economic, cultural and community design considerations with construction methods that are appropriate for each project's budget and location. Exterior and interior spaces are given equal consideration to maximize the quality of the experience for the end-users of each project. This also maximizes the efficiency of use of the available space.Dan has been practicing architecture for over 30 years since graduating from the University of Michigan's College of Architecture and Urban Planning. His practice has included urban design and planning, architectural projects, and building renovations. He has been responsible for design for a wide variety of projects in numerous communities including Denver, Kansas City, Panama City, Panama, Los Angeles, Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Hainan Island, Las Vegas, and many of the suburban communities surrounding Denver. He has been awarded several design awards and won two international design competitions -2005 –(in association with Zhang Xiaoguang/ZO Architects) - International design competition winner for the design of the provincial Sports Arena and Athletic Training Facility for the province of Inner Mongolia - located in Hohhot, China2003 –(in association with Zhang Xiaoguang/ZO Architects) – Shi Liu Zhuang - International design competition winner for the master planning and design of five city blocks, a mixed use development including 2,200 units of housing, retail space and public schools - located in Beijing, China2003 American Society of Landscape Architects Colorado Chapter – Merit Award for Urban Design,1998 AIA Denver Honor Award, 1997Jefferson County Design Excellence Award Program, 1995 AIA Western Mountain Region Citation Award, 1994 AIA Colorado Citation Award, 1994 AIA Denver Citation Award
