Nonprofit Organization Management - New Delhi, Delhi, India
The Press Club of India is already a half century old and is going great guns, as it used to be. It was formed way back in 1958 largely at the initiative of a few editors in the capital of the country. It is a tribute to their vision and their faith in fellow journalists that the old lady of Raisina Road is still there and, what's more, doing well. But the unique feature of the club is that it represents the entire country not cities as the press clubs all over the globe do.Having a membership of about 3,000 journalists and 1,000 associate members from the media-aligned fields, the club is poised to have its own premises shortly to cater to the need of young media persons.
