Preston Zly artisan duo Johanna Preston and Petr Zly design and produce exclusive hand-made footwear.The HistoryBeginning in 1995 in a North Fitzroy warehouse workshop, we began experimenting with shape, form, materials and techniques using mostly basic hand tools.We honed our skills while creating one-off bespoke creations, yet it soon became apparent that to create the designs we desperately wanted to realize, the answer lay in small scale boutique production.After a great deal of searching, Preston Zly relocated their production to Denpasar, Indonesia. Traditional skills are highly respected there and this was the perfect location to base our manufacturing. Working in close co-operation with a local workshop we can ensure the best possible realization of our designs.The shoesPreston Zly shoes are hand-made creations built by master craftspeople. Seasonal collections are available through our Carlton store, The VAULT 389, Australia and online.Our shoes are bespoke, taking their inspiration from footwear and art movements of all historical eras and reinterpreted for a contemporary urban lifestyle.Preston Zly shoes are designed for sustainable longevity – using natural materials such as leather and wood allows them to be re-soled and buffed to almost new condition by an experienced professional – a service offered both online and via our store, The VAULT 389.We create shoes for women like you.
