Incorporated in February 2000 ProductivityNet (now defunct) was started at the RPI Incubator in October 1999 by two RPI undergraduate students. The Company offers a unique network management software solution that leverages wireless technology to allow networks to be administered remotely through the Web or Wireless Web using mobile devices, such as PDAs or mobile phones with wireless Internet access. The network management software solution also allows organizations to seamlessly administer hybrid, or heterogeneous, networks operating on multiple platforms, such as Windows NT or Linux, greatly improving efficiency and flexibility.
