PROGRAM THE PARKS MKE focuses on training, empowering, and essentially building leaders from the youth in the city of Milwaukee. PTPMKE specializes in youth services and programming to impoverished inner city youth by identifying and utilizing community spaces such as parks as hubs. We identify the root causes of negative behaviors and address them accordingly. We also extend our reach and resources to the entire household and community via other avenues created to help sustain a healthy family and environment. Services include weekly and monthly pantries, youth mentoring and stipends, outdoor programming and activities, community patrols, computer literacy and training, Intro to Black Journalism and media, Intro to arts (murals, crafts, paintings, posts), community cookouts, back to school and winter coat drives, neighborhood clean ups and resource literature, crisis interventions, coat and book bag drives, a huge annual door to door toy drive, thanksgiving meals/baskets, and more.
