Articul @ coes is an Extension Program network of 147 members working inside an articulated set of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary extension projects and actions integrated with research and teaching activities.The aim of the Program is to open University to community through the approximation and interaction among 4 segments: (i) universities, (ii) schools, health and environmental services, (iii) local community, social movements, and (iv ) the public authority, mainly on Education, Health, Security and Environmental programmes implemented by the Municipal Secretariats, Education Boards, Councils, Forums and others. The Programa Articulações is partners with several University campuses in Brazil and Portugal. It aims provide its beneficiaries with personal, educational and professional development and so multiply its principles and perspective all over the municipalities engaged. The Program works under a non-hierarchical coordination practice and offers educational training programs, joint guidance for the scientific initiation students in high school, participation in end-of-course works ánd Master degrees panels and several lectures which take place in many events. Since its start in 2016, the Programa Articulações has been responsible for social inclusion of about 1.200 beneficiaries through covering several demands according to needs. Literacy, prep courses for admission, technology mastering, English for Master's degree, environmental and sustainability knowledge, congresses, fairs and scientific weeks.Finally, we are very glad to say that that number has been increasing yearly as the iniciative becomes more and more popular.
