Project Blue Drop was initially started in June 2019 and became a registered Canadian non-profit in early May 2020. PBD began with a wish to contribute towards causes in a helpful and sustainable way that uplifts local and international communities, no matter the scope. We believe that clean, accessible drinking water is a human right. With increasing water insecurity due to climate change, political dissonance and disparity, clean water is rapidly becoming a luxury rather than a right. PBD works on independent campaigns (advocacy, volunteering) as well as supports grassroots through fundraising for sustainable and permanent clean water solutions with partnered communities. Every initiative we fundraise and advocate for ensures that the people we aspire to help are treated with the respect and autonomy they deserve. We believe that the best way to positively make a difference is by listening. Listening to people and learning about what they need. We are on a journey to support grassroots that actively listen to the communities where they implement sustainable water and climate-related interventions.
