"Project: Community Computers reduces e-waste and bridges the digital divide by reusing and recycling computers and bringing technology access to those in need."We are a Milwaukee, WI based nonprofit which reduces e-waste and provides access to technology by loading donated, used computers with open source software and giving them to communities in need. By working with our partner nonprofit organizations to set up our computer projects, we ensure that our projects are sustainable and reach those in need.Project:CC was founded in 2009 by Dan Pastori and Jeff Hanson. What started as a student organization at the Milwaukee School of Engineering has now turned into an independent nonprofit with 17 completed labs spanning across three continents. Our impact has reached as far as improving the quality of education in rural Kenya to providing tools to find employment in inner city Milwaukee.
