Project Elf Dallas is a group of volunteers working to give a Christmas Season surprise to families or individuals who are transitioning out of homeless shelters. We work with families who have taken an active role to change their lives by providing them a whole house makeover.Partnering with local services such as Dallas Life and Vogel Alcove, we sponsor an individual or family for a home makeover, or target a large group with a Christmas gift of much needed necessities to help get back on their feet. This is no small feat as our Elves are busy collecting furniture, hanging curtains, setting up beds, filling closets, obtaining toys, filling cupboards, stuffing stockings - all through DONATIONS and community support! We hope the makeover allows them a chance to concentrate on maintaining the forward progress in their lives, their jobs, and housing without having to worry about how they will be able to afford to keep their new housing while also trying to make it a home for their family.Our MissionA CHRISTMAS MAKEOVER HELPING HOMELESS FAMILIES TO ESTABLISH A HOME THROUGH DESIGN AND COMMUNITY PASSION.We have 5 Found Members of this organization and utilize roughly 20 volunteers per makeover event. We hold 2 annual Fundraising Events (check our website for dates!) and accept donations all throughout the year. Donations can be in the form of cash/credit or gift cards to major retail stores.
