We are a team of undergraduate students from Singapore Management University striving to give back to society. Since 2013 we have been travelling to Nainital, India, as a part of Project Gazaab Nainital, to do an Overseas Community Service Project.Our aim is to inspire and empower the people of Ramgarh, a rural village in Nainital, to find a more sustainable form of livelihood through social entrepreneurship. To accomplish our mission, we work with our local community partner, the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, to impart basic business education and entrepreneurial skills to the natives of Ramgarh. This is done after a regular analysis of the community needs as well as the progress of the existing businesses. We then provide seed funding to the most viable business proposals.Our overall aim is to serve as catalysts to the economic and social development of Ramgarh. After 4 impactful years we have taken significant strides in reaching our end goal but we have a long way to go and we strive to go back each winter stronger and better prepared.In the coming winter of 2017, we not only aim to fund exciting new businesses but also help the entrepreneurs who previously won Gazaab to sustain and grow their business.Your support for this project will not only help a budding entrepreneur but also sustain a society.
