Project Harmony Child Protection Center is a community-based organization providing child-friendly, centralized and integrated child abuse assessment and investigation for children throughout eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Project Harmony works with state human services and local law enforcement agencies to protect the child and prosecute the offender. This past year 2022 children sought services at Project Harmony.Since the opening of Project Harmony in 1996 more than 20,000 children have received vital services in child abuse assessment, investigation and treatment referral. Prosecution rates have increased and abused children and their families are able to get professional help in the process of healing.The Project Harmony Training Institute was established in 2007 and since that time more than 30,000 students, citizens and professionals have been taught the best methods to assess and respond to children and their families who have been impacted by abuse and neglect.Project Harmony and its partner agencies work together to serve families throughout the communities of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. This collaborative effort provides effective, immediate and sensitive support to child victims and their non-offending family members, improved communication and case resolution.
