Project Malawi was founded in 2010 by a group of young people who envisioned a future of Malawi, free from disease and ultimately, free from poverty. The project started with close collaboration with Daeyang Luke Hospital, a local medical facility. Project Malawi is operating several projects, including the following, which are the main ones.Project Malawi takes a creative approach where it combines various technologies of modern science with scientific evidence to have greater efficacy. Project Malawi is the first Korean international development project to introduce Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT). Referred to as the golden ratio of impact evaluation, RCTs enable accurate evaluation of programs and contribute to eradication of poverty and disease in Malawi. We anticipate that our medical and public health programs will expand to other various sectors of international development including education, agriculture, food and nutrition, income generation, microfinance, and other appropriate technology. We are striving for a brighter future of Malawi, while hoping to inspire more people who would dedicate themselves to the development in Africa and other developing countries.
