PROJECT OUR TOWN inspires action by empowering the community through meaningful, intentional, and impactful opportunities that make a difference!We are building a diverse community of doers based on: Integrity Compassion Service And funWhere relationships matter the most!Project Our Town mobilizes volunteers in teams, sending them out into the greater Denver community to participate in a wide range of community service projects. We have monthly activities AND we also have a weekend event where thousands will participate in over 80 projects. Our projects will have a lasting impact, not only on many worthy organizations, causes, and individuals, but also the volunteers themselves. There are many ways to get involved with PROJECT OUR TOWN itself. It's all up to you. Making meals and delivering them to the homeless.Packaging rice and soup packets for food pantries.Gardening and yard work for the elderly.Visits with families and provide comfort at Hospice facilities.Assembling backpacks with school supplies for underprivileged children.Making special bracelets and jewelry for children in the hospital.Sending letters, packages, & pocket flags to soldiers overseas.Volunteering at numerous organizations that are working to fight diseasesBuilding for Habitat for HumanityServing meals at sheltersDelivering meals for Meals On /wheels recipientsHelping at a variety of animal sheltersPlanting pots and delivering to those in women's sheltersCleaning the yards for those with physical disabilitiesCreating Christmas decorations for homeless sheltersKnitting blankets, caps and sweaters for babies Sending musicians to nursing homes, hospitals and/or veterans organizations to entertainAssembling and deliver activity packages for children in hospitals
