Housing4Change, through its Share Homes Living program, has a range of specifically designed share houses and offer long rental leases so the tenants have a safe and comfortable place to live, without needing to stress about affordability or security of tenure. These attractive houses blend in with other suburban homes and are designed for shared living with generous individual and common spaces.The model will work best where land prices are affordable such as in the outer suburbs of capital cities and regional areas. The house models include 3-, 4 bedroom models, plus duplexes.Our Tenants:• Older single women• Older couples • People with disability• Women and families who are victims of domestic violence.• Single parentsAll are built to minimum Gold standard Livable Housing Australia (LHA)Liveable Housing Australia guidelines are about delivering accessibility into homes. This will include entry areas such as from the front boundary or garage into a home. This means no steps at least one main entry. The corridors are 1200mm wide, and all doors are at least 850mm clear opening. In the bathrooms there are no hobs to showers and the space in front of the toilet pan allows someone to rotate a wheelchair. The walls in the bathroom are strengthened to allow for fitting of grabrails when needed and the appliances in the laundry can be operated when either sitting or standing.
