With almost 40,000 members, Prokon Regenerative Energien eG is the energy cooperative with the largest number of members in Germany. The company's special focus is on electricity production and supply based on renewable energies close to the people. Prokon was founded in 1995 and is celebrating 25 years of experience in the renewable energies sector, five of which as a citizen-owned cooperative. Today, the development, planning and implementation of onshore wind farms and their subsequent technical and commercial management are just as much a part of Prokon's core competencies as the nationwide supply of private household customers with green electricity.
