We are a Marketing Blog...I am Connor O'Neill, a senior at Providence College. I am part of the Providence College School of Business as a Marketing major coupled with a minor in Writing. During my junior year I took a class called Brand Marketing co-taught by the head of the Marketing department, Dr. Mark DeFanti, and the former Vice-President of Marketing at Hasbro, Steve Edwards. A piece of advice Mr. Edwards gave us before we departed for the summer recess was; the best brand you can work on is your personal brand. During the summer his words resonated with me. My studies at a liberal arts school have allowed me to foster a passion for literature and writing while also studying the methods and practices of business. My goal for this blog is to merge what I have learned in the classroom to things I see outside the classroom. We are surrounded on a daily basis by marketers vying for our attention, and the tactics can be obvious to the trained eye.
