There is no charge to use TrustedPatents or its alert function.The scope of each exclusive license provided by Provenance is limited to only that specific company or those companies chosen by our client (this choice, for example, could be an operating company that has asserted a claim of patent infringement against them). We call each specific company chosen by our client in an exclusive patent license a "slice."This novel licensing approach allows our clients to pay a fixed annual fee for each "slice" they obtain. The result is substantially lower costs to obtain exceptional patent rights. Our clients are able to buy only the rights they need, at the time they need them. Provenance, as the patent owner, will offer to stand alongside its exclusive licensees when required to confer legal standing in court actions that involve our client's freedom to operate.To augment these company-specific exclusive licenses, Provenance will also enable operating company clients to acquire patents. This portfolio assembly service will be particularly helpful to high-potential, early-stage and mid-stage companies, and established companies seeking to expand the markets in which they sell their products.
