We sell a diagnostic screening device that allows physicians to take digital imaging of the eye. This allows for patient education as to what is occurring in the eye, tracking the progression of chronic diseases (diabetes for example), and the ability to obtain specialist consultations from any specialist on the planet by emailing the images directly to the consultant.Diabetes is mentioned above because it is the largest and fastest growing epidemic in our nation. Our device allows for accurate screening of the eye of a diabetic patient and gives the physician the ability to actually show the patient their eyes. The unit is not limited to just diabetes, it can allow the doctor to see many other diseases and trauma to the eye.The primary benefit is the extreme portability of the unit. A physician can take this literally anywhere and perform the screening. In fact, it is currently being used aboard the International Space Station. The unit can be taken to nursing homes, rural communities, hospitals, mobile clinics, the list is endless. The images can be stored on any laptop or on any form of electronic storage device (cd, flash drive, etc.).The procedures are billable allowing the physicians to obtain a full return on their investment within a matter of days and then continue to generate revenue after that.This screening can be done by General Practitioners, Nurses, Optometrists, Opthamologists, and even Veterinarians as it works equally well on animals' eyes.
