Pueblos Blancos Music Fest #5 is July 28 - 31, 2022 in Andalusia Spain.4 days of free concerts & cultural exchanges, featuring bands & artists from Texas, Spain, & all over the world, playing music in one of the most beautiful & unique areas on Earth; the spectacular, eons-old mountain-top villages of Andalusia (southern Spain); a magical area steeped in history & mythology, with amazing food & wines you rarely find outside the region! On wonderful outdoor stages in the magnificent ancient villages of Ronda ("The City of Dreams"), Montejaque, Grazalema, & Villaluenga del Rosario. In our 1st 4 years we've brought almost 40 bands from Austin/Texas to Andalusia, & several from Spain to Texas. We've had great musicians from more than 30 countries/6 continents. I'm planning to add a film & gourmet foods/wine/beer/spirits festival, following the music fiesta.I refer to this and the other fiestas we are planning, as "Slow Fests" in that most visitors stay in the area for an extended time so they can see some of the many sights & get to know the communities, instead of overwhelming the area with huge numbers of people who come for a very short time just to attend the concerts. I feel this model is more sustainable for the communities, has less impact on the environment & also works well in the era of pandemic.
