Law Practice - London, England, United Kingdom
We specialise in dealing with all matters concerning national and international trade and transport. We offer competitively priced pragmatic advice. We are able to remain highly competitive by keeping overheads low - our office space is well placed but modest. We also limit expenditure on marketing, which is usually a major expense in the legal industry. We are able to do this as we gain virtually all of our work through positive recommendation of clients. We are also frequently quoted in world trade press being at the forefront of legal research in our areas of specialism thereby maintaining high profile. We offer contract drafting and advice, claims and defence work, regulatory defence work, lien advice and jurisdiction advice for clients involved throughout the supply chain and we have long experience in dealing with litigation, arbitration and mediation. Kay Pysden qualified in 1987 and has specialised in this field from qualification. She held the position of the Chair of the Advisory Body on Legal Matters in the wordlwide forwarding association FIATA from 2004-2007 and was BIFA's Retained Legal Adviser from 2000-2009 from creation to termination of the post. She continues to advise BIFA and sits on its Legal and Insurance Policy Group. She is currently the member of a group of experts opposing the Rotterdam Rules, a Convention intended to replace the operation of the Hague, Hague-Visby and Hamburg Rules and to govern international carriage wholly or partly by sea.
