Päivölä Student Innovation Lab Details
PSIL is a workplace for more than thirty students of the Päivölä School of Mathematics. In Päivölä, our studies are focused on mathematical subjects and ICT. Mathematical modelling and scientific research are also integral parts of our curriculum.At PSIL, we design and carry out programming and modelling projects, both for ourselves and our clients. Most of the time we do our work in projects, but we've also participated in a sponsored hackathon.PSIL is our "learning by doing" environment. We work on many topical programming areas including VR, AR and IoT. Our varying hobbies and interests, together with our wide array of skills give us the opportunity to work on a large variety of themes, including even chess and minecraft.This doesn't mean we're limited to novelties. We also have experience in application development, game testing, mathematical modelling and gamefication. On top of learning the skills needed by these projects, we also learn team work, project management, problem solving and taking initiative.
