It's the 13th largest city in China in terms of GDP and home to renowned companies like Hair, Hisense, Qingdao Beer and CRRC.【QIAP】An OverviewQingdao International Academician Park (QIAP) is the world's first and only academician ecosystem which was launched in June 2016 with an aim to recruit renowned academicians globally conducting scientific R&D as well as for commercialization of their research findings in areas of bio-medicine, next generation information technology, high-end equipment, alternative energy and new materials.【Mechanism Innovation】QIAP is dedicated to creating a new model in science and innovation. By bringing in academicians from different countries, disciplines and area, its mechanisms is to combine the strengths of Academy of Science and Academy of Engineering, to facilitate the communication between eastern thinking mindsets and western ones, to enhance the integration between science, entrepreneurship and government innovation.【Ecosystem of QIAP】The ecosystem of the QIAP consists of 9 core sections, 3 extended sections and 1 supporting area.【Who Are Here】So far, 108 academicians have signed up with the QIAP, of which 85% are international scholars.
