QSpeak Details
QSpeak is a national program dedicated to fostering a better connected and informed community of LGBTQ+ high school students in Canada. Participants will fill out a survey designed to match them with 3-4 other students, forming groups each assigned a QSpeak Ambassador (a university student volunteer). Each week throughout the program will be dedicated to a specific theme (e.g. queer history, coming out, representation in media, etc.), which will be announced via email and social media along with a related discussion question. The ambassador will then initiate conversations via instant messaging, and a weekly 15-30 minute text, voice, or video meeting which will include further discussion questions.
