Qualified Investment Group was established in 2012 to purchase contaminated properties in the central NJ market. The founder of the company, Teddy Slack, Jr. was already running a very successful residential oil tank service company that focused on pulling underground heating oil tanks and cleaning up any contaminated soil whenever necessary for the homeowner industry. Knowing that there were an abundance of contaminated properties located in the NJ market that were not selling due to environmental issues, QIG was formed to purchase these properties, clean up the environmental, rehab the house as needed, and resell for a profit. Since these types of properties can only be paid for with CASH, Teddy reached out to a few investors who he thought might be a good fit for this type of investment. Knowing the industry so well, this was a low risk high reward investment. ABOUT US After flipping five properties over a three year time period, Teddy decided to scale the business model in January of 2016. Utilizing private investors and hard money to launch the company, Teddy was able to identify and purchase twenty one properties in seven short months. All these projects are currently in different phases of construction or environmental clean up. The goal for 2016 is thirty total properties. In order to reach this goal, QIG needs to raise additional capital from private investors.
