Quantum Lab is a global, thriving and innovative company with an office in San Francisco, USA and R&D department in Gdansk, Poland. Quantum Lab is an organization set up by people who share the same idea. We want to teach computers how people feel, and we know which way is the best to achieve it. We track, measure and analyze emotions and moods using different methods and technologies based on science and psychology. Our primary product, Facial Expression Recognition System (Xpress Engine), allows to read people emotional response from their facial expressions using any modern device with a camera. In the end, we get emotional metadata represented as a graph. Using Xpress Engine, we can track people emotions while showing them ads on their mobile devices. Thus, we can create more accurate focus groups for digital media that are faster and cheaper than ever. Mobile Focus Groups have several advantages over classic focus groups: • automatic via SaaS platform + mobile apps with XE • faster and more convenient (no researchers, no lab need or analysis) • unlimited target audience • more accurate— people cannot hide how they feel So far Quantum Lab collected $350.000 from first seed round and $130.000 from tech grants. The principal strategic company investors are investment funds Black Pearls, Business Angel Seedfund and Profound Ventures.
