Pianist Matthew Umphreys and vocalist Sarah Folsom have created a new concert series, the Queen City Cabaret, to celebrate Cincinnati's rich history of song by bringing performances of jazz, pop, and theatrical vocal music to the community. Sarah and Matthew are Cincinnati-based musicians who met while studying at the College-Conservatory of Music at UC. Though they are originally from Florida and Iowa, they loved Cincinnati so much that they decided to stick around after graduating and call it home. Queen City Cabaret is a celebration of everything they love about Cincy and its music scene—the amazing musical history, the culture, the diversity, and most importantly, the people. Every concert Matthew and Sarah produce has a Queen City connection, be it the music performed or the artists on the stage. If you love classic pop, jazz, rock, musical theatre, or even just great stories and good drinks, we'd love to have you join us on our musical adventure.
