Queensland Justices Association aims to be the pre-eminent organisation for Queensland's honorary justices. Our mission is to be the is the centre of excellence through a combination of leadership, professional development and advocacy.Founded in 1918, the QJA has a long history of providing professional development and support to its members. QJA now has accreditation as an RTO (registered training organisation; Registration no 31906) and is the largest provider of training for Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations. Our trainers are not just qualified as trainers they are long standing active Justices of the Peace and members of our organisation. Our members are active in the community and provide services at shopping centres, libraries and courthouses throughout Queensland. We engage actively in advocacy - working closely with the Attorney-department.We are not funded by government or business and so we stand for integrity, honour and respect. We want to be excellent in everything we do by leading, teaching, and advocating for our members. We have been around since 1918 and have a long history of helping our members become better justices. We are now an official training organization and the largest provider of training for Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations. Our trainers are experienced and knowledgeable justices who are active in the community. We provide services at places like shopping centers, libraries, and courthouses all over Queensland. We also work closely with the Attorney-General's department to make sure the law is fair and just. We are not funded by the government or businesses, so we can stand up for what is right and be honest. Our patron is the Chief Justice of Queensland, the Hon Catherine Holmes.
