I grew up watching my mom sew Halloween costumes and quilts -- some of my fondest memories are sitting on her bedroom floor watching her work. I loved seeing people's reactions to things that she made; sewing truly helped her share joy with others. Ever since I got my own machine, I've been hooked. The very first quilt I made was a Christmas gift for my mom. I remember painstakingly shopping for the right fabric, trying to calculate inches vs yards, struggling with seam allowances -- let's just say there were many challenges! But even as a brand new sewer, I was proud to create something beautiful and special, and I couldn't wait to give Mom her gift. When there was a baby boom among my friends and family, I quickly realized that I love making goodies for sweet little babies. Friend after friend encouraged me to open my shop because they thought other new moms would love my work as much as they did. I really hope my pieces will brighten someone's day, whether they're putting a bib on their baby, swaddling their infant or handing their child a toy. At Quilted Kidd LLC, I create useful pieces that make people happy! I live in Michigan with my husband and the occasional foster cat.
