Quintrex developed their first billing and rating software in 1979 for an independent telephone company. The telephone industry at that time was already well established and mature. When deregulation occurred in the early 1980's, the US independent telecommunications industry exploded with new ideas, technologies, and growth. As only the best survive in such turmoil, the Quintrex billing system grew into the highly integrated and fully functional product it is today. Now known as Telecommunications Information & Billing System (TIBS), the Quintrex family of systems are installed in over 20 US states and Canadian provinces at successful and satisfied independent telecommunications companies.
