Quvis holds patents that enabled keyinnovations in digital cinema and beyond.Quvis designed the first 2K, 4K, and 3D digital cinema servers. We alsomade the first 2K, 4K, and 3D digital cinema recorders. Industry leaderslike Pixar and Sony partnered with QuvisT to realize the potential ofdigital cinema.Known for innovation and quality, Quvis competed with over 20 companiesand was chosen by NASA to provide the meticulous images for the "Returnto Flight" program. Starting with the space Shuttle Discovery, Quviscaptured and quickly relayed the highest quality launch images to NASA'sanalysis labs for study. Quvis also supported the launch of NASA's"New Horizons" mission to Pluto.In 2011 Quvis was acquired by Seacoast Capital Partners, an investmentfirm dedicated to fueling more innovation in the digital cinemaindustry. In 2012, Quvis will introduce the first fully featured, software DCPplayer, enabling creatives to see their finished work without the steepexpense of digital cinema viewing equipment. The Quvis DCP player willplay any DCP, whether it was produced with Final Cut, Adobe, or Avid.
