R Sustainable is a Social Enterprise Group at The University of Edinburgh founded by MildaLebedytė and Daniela Groza. We aim to link the disciplines of Art and Science by creating aprofessional platform, where we explore material innovation through a variety of events, such asworkshops, talks and seminars. Throughout the year offer a wide range of events, from fashionshows, to seminars, to workshops, that explore this theme in fields such as sustainable fashion andproduct design. Each year we end our work with the R Sustainable Fashion Show which aims toshowcase student designers and ethical brands, both local and international.Through our events we present a wide variety of ethical brands, talented artists and accomplishedstudents, as well as partner with local companies to offer raffle prizes and discount coupons.Partners from our past events include biodegradable hemp eyewear, water-soluble sequins, recycledsilver and jewellery made out of ocean plastic. We want to give consumers access to products thatwill help them navigate towards more conscious shopping choices.
