Airlines/aviation - Inverness, Scotland, United Kingdom
The UK Regional and Business Airports (RABA) Group was established to provide a collective voice for UK airports with 3 million passengers per annum or less. The Group currently represents 40 airports including four based in the Crown Dependencies; this represents three quarters of all commercial passenger and business aviation airports of this size in the UK. Details of our membership can be seen on our website at www.rabagroup.co.uk RABA's function is to provide a collective voice for these smaller UK airports on policy and regulatory issues and to make representations to Government departments and their agencies on issues that are of common interest. In addition to those that handle scheduled air transport services, RABA's member airports also cater inter alia for a wide range of business or general aviation activity including flight training and specialist events like airshows; they also host offshore, military and emergency service aircraft, diversions and commercial flight training and aerospace and aircraft servicing or recycling. In many cases they act as centres for important aviation related employment clusters. Collectively, they underline the strategic importance of smaller airports to the UK's aviation and aerospace industries and the economic value they have the potential to create. RABA's work is supported by a number of corporate sponsors whose valuable contribution and expertise is outlined on the Group's website. It also has partnering arrangements with ERAA and is exploring others with equivalent smaller airport associations in Europe and North America. The Group's Secretariat would be interested in speaking to other groups or sponsors with like minded interests, please contact us on info@rabagroup.co.uk
