RABBLE Theatre creates international quality, home-grown theatre in Reading that raises pride & interest in our area's heritage & community. We are committed to diversity & inclusivity on stage, in outreach programmes & our audiences. We stage 3 full-scale productions a year, a new writing event, a full programme of youth & adult acting schools, masterclasses, workshops, & drama residencies in 6 local schools. Our themes are focused on Reading's history, theatre & culture and offer the chance to involve & engage local people from diverse communities.Education is a huge part of what we do at RABBLE Theatre providing educational opportunities for all. We are offering in depth theatre training via our ‘Foundations' Acting School for young people and our ‘Get Up on Stage' classes for adults who love acting. Devising and improvisation lessons give students outstanding new skills and confidence. Participation provides opportunities for socialising and nurtures the sense of belonging in a community. Our aim is to give access to those in Reading who suffer from financial or social exclusion and create work that is accessible to everyone, so we have created The RABBLE Hardship Fund. Through this fund we offer: • 100% bursaries at RABBLE ‘Foundations' and ‘Get Up On Stage' for those unable to engage owing to financial restraints.• Free tickets to shows for more schools, individuals and families who are unable to attend owing to financial restrictions. The RABBLE Hardship Fund creates free opportunities for social interaction, skill development & meaningful cultural engagement at high-calibre productions & classes. Our growing family of RABBLE Rousers – our Friends, Patrons and Sponsors – are at the heart of what we do, supporting all aspects of our work. Every penny you donate makes a difference, helping us fund new writing, offer opportunities to people of all ages and backgrounds and produce outstanding theatre.
