About Nicole Allison:I truly believe that the practice of yoga can make the world a better place. Yoga encourages an increased awareness of self, and of connectedness with the world. The classes I teach are strongly focused on synchronizing the breath with movement to create a focus on the present moment and self-awareness. I love guiding prenatal and postnatal classes, assisting expectant and new moms in finding just a bit more ease through pregnancy, birth, and adjusting to motherhood.I am registered with Yoga Alliance at the RYT 500, E-RYT 200 level and am also the only certified Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) in my area. I have registered as a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) so that I can help others who are passionate about learning continue their journeys. After having taught many prenatal and postnatal yoga classes, I began to realize that there is often a period time after giving birth when there is not a lot of support or sense of community for many women. I feel that this is a time in life when women need and deserve to feel supported and confident, and started looking into options available within our local area so that I could offer referrals to my students. While there are some groups that offer meetups, there is a lack of in-home support available. I decided therefore to become a postpartum doula, and have taken DONA approved training to that end. I will also be completing birth doula training in early 2018.May everyone find a bit more ease in life <3
