Rae Brown & Company Ltd are Joiners and Building Contractors based in Farburn Terrace, Dyce, Aberdeen. We were established by Rae Brown and a partner in 1975 after a number of years working in construction abroad.With a substantial seven-figure turnover on a progressive growth curve, we are one of the larger medium sized building companies in Aberdeen, predominantly working as a Main Contractor or Lead Contractor although sometimes acts as a Sub-Contractor or Independent Contractor.We take a pride in our workforce. Most of our staff are highly skilled craftsmen and include Master Carpenters who have won awards for their work. Some staff have been with the Company for many year, a number having been with us ever since completing their Apprenticeship..The Company's philosophy of continued in-house training coupled with external courses and a commitment to the highest standards of Craftsmanship first time are proven and highly successful.We are members of the Federation of Master Builders (FMB). This means that all work we undertake will fully comply with the Federation of Master Builders Code of Practice. The Federation of Master Builders is a recognised trade association that promotes professionalism and high quality workmanship amongst building firms. This is a perfect compliment to the established ethos of Rae Brown & Co Ltd.We have one of the last manufacturing Joinery workshops in Aberdeen, with the ability to manufacture Stairs, Doors, Working Shutters, Windows (including sash and case) and one-off bespoke items.We have an established reputation in the conservation and renovation of many historic and listed buildings. Unusually we have completed renovations of historic buildings in both the commercial and domestic sector.
