Individual & Family Services - Grand Island, New York, United States
RAHAMA, Inc. (Resources and Help Against Marital Abuse) was founded in 2006 on Islamic principles to empower women that experience domestic abuse through education, advocacy, support, and housing; serving with cultural and language competencies. RAHAMA became a non-profit in 2016 and is dedicated to the psychological, emotional, social well-being, and health of women and children. RAHAMA empowers women that experience domestic abuse through education, advocacy, support, and housing. We provide a safe space for clients to access compassionate, culturally, and linguistically competent services. Our goal is to remove barriers to service that women who are Muslim, or a member of another potentially isolating religion, immigrant or refugee group, often encounter. RAHAMA's vision is to be a guiding organization in the community where women of all backgrounds are safe, know their rights, and live without violence or abuse.
