Religious Groups - Lubbock, TX, US
Catholic campus ministry has been a part of Texas Tech's history dating back to the late 1920's. As a number of Catholics saw the need to provide community for those away from home at Texas Tech, it would continue to grow into the Newman Center of the 1960's, the Catholic Student Center in 1983, and finally into our brand new John Saleh Catholic Student Center generously provided for through a major gift by John Saleh and the support of our alumni, parishioners, and others from the Catholic community. Today, we provide dozens of ministry opportunities, leadership development, a safe place for study, a home away from home, and, most important of all, access to the Sacraments from St. Elizabeth's University Parish, our home Parish and primary provider.Desire to help volunteer or serve campus ministry at Texas Tech? Reach out today and let us know how you'd like to help! It takes many members of one body to successfully grow the ministry needs for Catholics, and others, at Texas Tech!
