Music - Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
A voluntary, not-for-profit community chorus incorporated under the laws of Manitoba to provide an opportunity for people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and two-spirited (GLBTT) and their supporters to sing together. This award-winning non-auditioned chorus has performed in every province from British Columbia to Quebec and south to Denver. In addition to their annual concerts in December and May, RHP frequently participates in local events including World Aids Day, Transgender Day of Remembrance, events for the Museum for Human Rights, and Pride Winnipeg. They have performed with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and with the internationally acclaimed a cappella group Rajatan. The repertoire ranges from classical to pop, jazzy to folk - often with a 'queer' twist but always leaving you uplifted and inspired.
