RainCity HeartLab offers cutting-edge diagnostics for the assessment of cardiovascular disease. Our proprietary technologies are currently suited for applications in basic research and clinical trials of investigational new drugs. We are currently working towards gaining approvals for clinical diagnoses of cardiovascular disease. High-density lipoprotein (HDL; "good cholesterol") protects humans against cardiovascular disease. HDL's cardioprotective properties are controlled by particle number (HDL-P), the amount and size of the HDL particles. Current tests only measure surrogate values that are inherently inaccurate. We have therefore developed a method termed calibrated lipoprotein ion separation (CALLIS) to precisely and accurately measure HDL-P in blood.
