Entertainment/Media - Raleigh, NC, US
Raleigh Review is a national non-profit magazine of poetry, short fiction, and art, offering accessible works of experience that are emotionally and intellectually complex. At Raleigh Review we believe that great literature inspires empathy by allowing us to see the world through the eyes of our neighbors, whether across the street or across the globe. Our mission is to foster the creation and availability of accessible yet provocative contemporary literature. In 2015 we celebrate Raleigh Review's 5th anniversary! Since 2010 we've moved from online to print and from annual to biannual. We're proud to have published emerging writers alongside nationally-known, award-winning authors. Our contributors have been finalists or winners of Best of the Net awards, and the magazine itself won 2013 and 2014 Summit Creative Awards for cover design and editorial work. And each issue just keeps getting better . . . Recent contributors include E. Kristin Anderson, Ellen Bass, Joseph Bathanti, C. Wade Bentley, Tina Mozelle Braziel, Randall Brown, Petrina Crockford, Geri Digiorno, Cheryl Dumesnil, Chera Hammons, Kate Henry, Laurence Holden, Brock Jones, Carrie Jane Knowles, Adrian C. Louis, Mark Madigan, Lynn Otto, Marie Pavlicek-Wehrli, Mike Smith, and Mark Smith-Soto. "[A] magazine that takes itself seriously, but not to a fault, with an impressive list of heavy hitters… A lovely read with a refreshing new voice." —NewPages.com "[A]gain and again we are presented with imagery in a modern style that drives the pace in bursts of short statements and thoughtful comments that ask to be revisited." —NewPages.com
