In October 1981, Rapid Lube, was started by Gary Warren and Al Barnes in Granite City, Illinois. Rapid Lube, was designed to offer a 15 minute Oil change to the public with the most technologically advanced facilities run by highly knowledgeable staff.Rapid Lube, added a second location in Edwardsville, Illinois in May of 1983, and their third location was opened in Alton, Illinois in March of 1986.In February 1990, they opened the doors to their fourth location in the small town of Jerseyville, Illinois.
