RAVEN Systems (Rapid Ariel Vehicle Engineering Systems) is a start-up company focused on the research and development of instantaneously deployable drone technologies with the capacity to carry sensing and reconnaissance equipment for use in defence, humanitarian aid and scientific research. The company was inspired by a University of Adelaide final year project that aimed to develop an instantaneous rocket-deployed intelligence system, known as IRIS. This prototype folding wing UAV has been designed to be deployed from a rocket, but can also be deployed via a tube such as a sonobuoy.
