Ravine is a natural, therapeutic space where young people train with industry specialists to promote and conserve the unique characteristics of our different wildlife species and natural habitats. We offer 24 completely free work experience places each year to young people, aged 18- 24, facing mental health challenges. Ravine welcomes referrals from young people or any health profession, agency or organisation working with young people experiencing mental health challenges. We aim to tailor training to the young person's own personal aims as well as conservation and adopt a hands-on approach to helping them with their chosen path. Ravine seeks to unlock their potential by providing the skills needed to gain meaningful education, training, and employment opportunities.Ravine will provide a supportive learning environment and the young person, in turn, will give back by contributing to invaluable nature conservation for the benefit of future generations. Ravine hosts 2 social enterprises, Market Garden and Explore, as well as a Patron Programme for local businesses at our site on the outskirts of Belfast. 100% of the profit from these are re-invested into Ravine to support current and future trainees.
