Design - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canarias, Spain
I double-majored in Design and Art Direction at Elisava Barcelona. After interning for renamed advertising group McCann, I went on to art direct at ad agency two in Gran Canaria, where I worked for nearly two years.I balanced my art direction job with personal creative work, like illustration and animation, which helped me grow my interest in editorial illustration and character design. Eventually, I decided to travel around Latin America working as a freelance while finding inspiration in its unique culture. This adventure led me to work on a book project and find creative peers all over the continent. My creative approach is to find strong concepts that allow ideas to grow. I like to test my scribbles in different mediums and formats to check if they are enough flexible and adaptative. And then refine it focusing first on the big picture and then paying attention to details. For me, ‘rayones' -which is the spanish word for ‘scribbles'- is more than just a scratch on a piece of paper. They are the seed of an idea that needs time and attention to become something bigger.
