R D Spell Inc is a construction company based out of 1600 Sampson St, Westlake, Louisiana, United States.R.D. Spell, Inc. was founded by Mr. R.D. Spell, Sr. in 1962. R.D. was trained as a dragline operator in the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1938 to 1940. He eventually became self employed in 1953 and purchased his first dragline unit. From that point, R.D. continued to operate equipment and transition into an incorporated entity after obtaining his Louisiana State Contractor's License and incorporating in 1962. R.D. continued to expand his business to include municipal work involving water and sewer utilities, concrete paving, and industrial site preparation.Over the years, R.D.'s family has continued to run the business together for three generations. Today, R.D. Spell, Inc. continues to move forward with the assistance of other family members and the beginning of the fourth generation's involvement with R.D. Spell, Inc.During that time, R.D. Spell, Inc. has been joined by several other high caliber personnel that have become an integral part of the family business and contribute to the company's on-going success.
