Home Inspection Are we a Franchise? NO we are not. We are privately owned. We do not support the franchise training platform as they currently stand. I feel the interest of the franchise is not always in the best interest of the clients.(This is only my opinion). A lot of franchise companies charge $20,000 - $50,000 for a person to use that company name in certain area (Kitchener for example) and the company will give the franchisee 1 - 2 weeks training. Once the franchise training is complete they feel they are ready to do inspections on possibly the biggest investment of your life! At the current time Ontario does not license Home inspectors, B.C is the only province that does. There is no regulations on who can be an inspector and who cannot. Whether you hire us or someone else here is key question..... "Do you have errors and omissions insurance?" When I applied for insurance they wanted a resume, all my grades for home inspection college, they reviewed my entire reporting system and I had to be a member of the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors, I passed the test. So here is your governing body, does your home inspector carry this insurance?
