There are significant changes taking place and where there is change there is opportunity.Challenges facing Channel Players include but are not limited to: Emergence of 3D Printing & Supplies as a learning tool in Education verticals; Continuing migration of printed pages from desktop environments to floor standing devices; Increased penetration of MPS/MDS in SME Market Segments; Increased direct sales activities by the OEMs; Consolidation of Aftermarket Players; Increasing penetration of new build supplies, pressurising remanufacturing; ripping back of OEM Channel Support Programmes; and increasing requirement for mobile solutions.Many of these trends are compressing price points and reducing sales volumes which deliver a double hit to the gross margin line and have unpleasant consequences on the profit line.
