Rebuild Oaxaca is a nonprofit fundraising initiative to rebuild houses in one of Mexico's poorest states, focused on helping those most impacted by the earthquakes in Oaxaca in September 2017. Set up by husband and wife team Eva and Chris Hadfield, Rebuild Oaxaca has partnered with Construyendo, a local foundation with a ten-year track record that has already built more than 1,000 homes in Mexico's poorest communities. Through this partnership Rebuild Oaxaca is aiming to reconstruct not only the buildings but also to empower the community through reviving the local economy.
