A Secretaria da Receita Federal do Brasil (RFB) é um órgão específico singular, diretamente subordinado ao Ministério da Fazenda, e exerce funções essenciais para que o Estado possa cumprir seus objetivos. Sua missão é exercer a administração tributária e aduaneira com justiça fiscal e respeito ao cidadão, em benefício da sociedade, tendo em vista os seguintes valores: respeito ao cidadão, integridade, lealdade com a Instituição, legalidade, profissionalismo e transparência.Nessa linha a RFB é responsável pela administração dos tributos de competência da União, inclusive os previdenciários, e aqueles incidentes sobre o comércio exterior, abrangendo parte significativa das contribuições sociais do País.Também, subsidia o Poder Executivo Federal na formulação da política tributária brasileira, previne e combate a sonegação fiscal, o contrabando, o descaminho, a pirataria, a fraude comercial, o tráfico de drogas e de animais em extinção e outros atos ilícitos relacionados ao comércio internacional.About usThe Secretariat of the Federal Revenue of Brazil (RFB) is a singular specific body, directly subordinated to the Ministry of Finance, and performs essential functions so that the State can accomplish its goals. It is its mission to exercise tax and customs administration with fair taxation and respect for the citizen, for the benefit of society, bearing in mind the following values: respect for the citizen, integrity, loyalty towards the Institution, legality, professionalism and transparency.In this line, the RFB is responsible for the administration of taxes under the competence of the Union, including those on foreign trade and covering a significant part of the country's social security contributions. It also assists the Federal Executive Branch in formulation of Brazilian taxation policy, preventing and fighting against tax evasion, smuggling, embezzlement, piracy, commercial fraud, drug and endangered animals trafficking, and other illicit acts related to international trade.
